Wow. We have not had time to post in a while. I wanted to re-cap some of our Christmas celebrations.
Johnston Christmas -
Dick & MaryKay made the trip to Mitchell to spend the weekend with us the week before Christmas. We had a nice dinner here at our house, went to church and of course opened presents. They then took off for home on the following Monday.
Kenison Christmas -
We headed down to Omaha on Thursday of Christmas week. We left at 530AM to beat the snow storm that was on its way through and made it in plenty of time. Nana and Papa were home from Arizona too so that was fun spending the weekend with them. Friday we went to a Christmas Eve candlelight service and opened up a few presents. We then read Ella "Twas a Night Before Christmas" and headed off to bed. Christmas morning we woke up and opened up all the presents from Santa! That afternoon RObert, Lisa and Kevin joined us for a big meal and more present opening. Sunday we headed downtown and went down the big slide and did a little ice skating. Sunday was Ella's baptismal day as well as Grandma and Grandpa Kenison's 7th Anniversary. So that night we made dinner for them in celebration of their special day. Tuesday was the day we all headed home but before then we took Nana and Papa to the photography place. They got to take pictures with Ella as she is their 1st great-grandchild. That was fun and we were able to take tons of pictures home with us. That will be something we will never forget.
Drake Christmas -
We headed back to Sioux Falls following the photo shoot and spent the afternoon playing with Amani! We then had a wonderful dinner that night and of course opened up more gifts. Moogs and I went outside to try out the sleds and were pretty unsuccessful. She found it's hard for a prego to sled! Chris and Megan then headed back to Mitchell and Ella and I stayed in SIoux Falls for another day. We spent Wednesday with Amy and Amani and joined some friends for a play date.
Overall we had a WONDERFUL holiday season! Ella has been having a ball playing with all her new stuff! We hope you enjoyed every moment of the holiday season and are looking forward to Christmas 2011. :)
