August and September

And there goes another two months. I must say keeping up with this blog has not been easy. Yes, we have been busy with the end of summer and beginning of fall but it is usually the last thing on my mind. However, I do keep up not for friends and family but for Ella as I think someday it will be fun for her to look back and read the posts. I have printed most of them off and will continue to do so.

A big change in our family is the fact that I went back to work full time. I was not planning on going back for at least another year, but an opportunity came up at Cabela's and I just could not pass it up. I am the new Events and Marketing coordinator for our store. They were willing to work with my hours (around daycare) and I am getting paid very well, so it made for an easy decision. However, it has not been so easy at home as I come home for work ready to just sit on the couch, when we have laundry backing up, a dusty house and supper needs to be made! I dont know how we did it before, but I know we will get back into the swing of things soon! The extra money will just put us one step closer to the house we hope to build in a few years! :)

As for Ella, our little babe is nearing the 2 year mark. She is an ABSOLUTE blast these days, except for when she pulls out her terrible two card. But for the most part we have been lucky to have such a well behaved little girl. She is really into reading books, playing with her dolls, coloring, an obsession with horses and playing kitchen (Feeding Mommy and Daddy with a bowl and spoon). She is also enjoying playing ring-a-round the rosie and london bridges. Ella loves going to daycare and asks every morning if she is going to Lisa's today and if we say no her next response is Amani? She would go to Lisa's or play with Amani everyday of the week if we let her.

She also will not let us get away with not saying the prayer at meal time and has really been enjoying helping out around the house. She likes to help fold laundry, wash dishes, put away dishes and throw garbage away. Not such a bad thing! We hope it continues!

Well that is about all we have for now. We are enjoying the cool weather and sure looking forward to Ella's 2nd birthday!
