Well one week has about passed by already. Ella is doing very well. She is eating good, sleeping good and that's about it, but I guess that's what newborns do! She had her 1st doctors appointment this morning and she weighed in at 7lb. 9oz. She is back up to her birth weight already, exactly her birth weight! Other than that the doctor said everything looks great and that we're doing a great job!
As for the first couple nights Ella was up all night long and so were Mommy and Daddy. She has started to get better and now wakes up about 3 times during the night just for a diaper change and bottle. Then usually falls right back to sleep. We are just tending to her routine for now, but looks as if her nights and days are already starting to straighten out.
Phoenix and Chance (our doggies) have been adjusting very well. Chance really wants nothing to do with Ella, however gets up with me every time she cries in the middle of the night. Phoenix acts like the 3 year old big sister who always wants to do her part and help out. :)
Grandma Shelly and Grandpa Bruce left this morning and we were all sad to see them go. It was really nice to have them here this first week, but they will be back in 3 short weeks!
Chris and I are falling in love with her a little more and more each day... she is absolutely perfect. We love her so much and can't imagine our lives without her.

You are a beautiful baby, Ella! We miss you so much and can't wait until we get home for Christmas to hold you again. (It's only 5 weeks now!) Keep Mommy & Daddy in line, won't you?
